C2 SPARE TIRE QUEST

My 64 came with a somewhat incorrect tire so i'll need a replacement but I
was hoping that a tire "expert" could help me identify what I do have as to
value/use because it is definitely old and in really good condition. On the
face side is the following verbage : Vogue "Twin Tread" Tyre 6.70-15 Nylon
W/W. Reverse side : Vogue Rubber Co- Chicago Ill High Speed Service 6V-253 7I6M2A96. The whitewall measures 1-1/16" and has 4 slight raised ribs. Also around the outside near the tread are 3 rows of embossed diamond shapes. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

You have a non-DOT tire from an independent mfgr. Unfortunately, because it's not one of the recognized suppliers, NCRS doesn't recognize it for judging credit. BUT, having one of these is nice for a driver spare application because it'll fit nicely in the spare tire tub and will probably get you from point A to point B in a roadside emergency...

AAA gets me from point A to point B in a roadside emergency...on a flatbed of course.
