    Correction on Hood Latch Finishes

Rob, my memory is suffering from ncrs syndrome. I double checked my notes and these are the finishes I observed on my 70:

Probe Springs: I used black phosphate on these just as you originally suggested.

Probe Spring Retainers: Zinc as I thought.

Probes: Surprise here...My best determination was it's a medium gray phosphate, not natural as 2nd edition indicates. Use your own discretion about going contrary to the TIM&JG.

Spring seats: These are actually built into the probe mounting base, which is black phosphate.

The small springs on the latches on the hood are still a low gloss paint as far as I know.
