Hi All,
I'm pleased to say that I just acquired my first Corvette after wanting one since I was about 10 years old. I purchased a '77 with the L48 that had not been run in 4 years. After replacing the fuel pump and some of the lines, she fired up splendidly. After preforming the other necessary matennance items, I tood her for a drive and found that reverse is very hard to engage. She is an automatic transmission, and you really have to monkey around with the shifter to get her to go backwards. I did observe that the tranny fluid is overfilled. Could this be causing the problem, or is there an adjustment to be made?
Thanks in advance for any help that is offered!
