C1 Third arm bearing

I'm tearing down my '55, I have the third arm apart and want to know if I can degrease and clean the bearing and re-grease using a needle fitting on my grease gun, or is this a sealed bearing and best left alone? The bearing and stud are in great shape, I don't want to damage anyting if the old grease is OK. Looks like a cleaning, some paint and a new seal is all that is in order.

Mike, I just went through this with my 54. I tried to clean it and re grease, but it didn't get any better. I was advised by a very reputable Vette suspension guy (Gouldstrand) to replace this critical component (the bearing). I did so and it's really smooth, and I own piece of mind.
