I need to find a fan clutch for my 65' 327 / 365 hp. that will pass NCRS Top Flight.
I went to GM and they had part # H03916141. This is for 1960 - 67.
All except 427.
It is stamped "CK"..the NCRS TIM calls for "CJ".
What fan clutch is acceptable for Top Flight Judgeing ??
ALSO.....Do the "Bar" type work as well as the "coil" type ??
All current GM replacement clutches are slightly different in the reservior shape, and will carry a deduction. Your best bet is to call Fred Oliva, who can sell you a rebuilt original. You might have to wait 6 months, or so, but AFAIK, he is the best source for a 'correct' unit. Schwitzer and Eaton types were used interchangeably, and should deliver comparable results.
