Best advice pls as I'm no driveline expert.
I have a 66 427/390 car. Replacing factory clutch after 40 yrs. Putting in a new LUK kit. Mechanic pulls out original GM cast iron flywheel and states it is heat checked?. I see no visible stress cracks but it is blueish in color on the surface and rough. Mechanic wants to put in new centerforce flywheel.
Can I have my org GM flywheel re-surfaced, will it work well, is this a recommended option or better to go with a new steel flywheel??
Best advice appreciated.....
