Still stuck on 69 heater control hose connection

Okay I posted earlier this week about this hose and included a pic. I believe all the guys that told me it goes to the heater control in the cabin and it certainly looks like it from the A.I.M. The problem is the A.I.M. only states it connects to the wiper vacuum control line and doesn't show where or to which line. Gene Kelly answered that it," On my 69 there is a hose with a "T" in line with it. The T part goes to the small hose you talk about. The other end is in line with a larger dia. hose with a faded yellow stripe. This line goes to the center port of the vacuum relay that supplies vacuum to the wiper door motor." I'm stuck. The small hose is too short to reach where the wiper control valve hose has been spliced. Am I missing a hose or something?
Here is a pic of the aim hose we think it's supposed to connect too but it doesn't show it connecting?

Re: Still stuck on 69 heater control hose connecti

George, You must have a later production '69 than mine. Mine was built in Dec. 68, around the 11,000 number. The relay that operates the wiper motor on mine is located on the right(pass) side very close to the fender slots. My brother has a 69 built in June, around the 21,000. I will probably see him on Wednesday. If you still have not solved this, I will take a look to see if I can find anything.

Thanks Gene..if you could look. I think we

have it figured out as you can see by the responses but I would love it if you looked and saw for sure. We think the small hose I have unconnected is supposed to connect in a straight line to another hose, that my car is missing, of the same size before going into a tee on the main vac hose with the yellow stripe...clear huh? There is a post above this if you can't understand this post. Thanks for all your help!!!!

Re: Thanks Gene..if you could look. I think we

I was able to get a look at my brother's 69. The location of the wiper door relay valve is in the same location as yours, so I'm sure the routing is the same.
The yellow striped hose comes from the vacuum storage tank, then goes to a T located very near the hood latch, right by the brake housing. The straight end of the T goes to another yellow striped hose, about 8 in. long, this goes directly into the center port of the wiper door relay. The center connection of the T goes to a small diameter hose that is about 22 in. long. This travels with a group of hoses along the fire wall. This hose has a nipple connector on the end that then connects to the small dia. hose that goes into the firewall. Mystery solved.

Just so you know, there was a change in the location of the relay valve about serial no. 19,000. That is why yours and mine are different.

        hope this helps.

          relay valve location

FWIW: Serial number 19023 was before Good Friday, and s/n 19183 was after, based on trim tag body build dates. Nice time with a Friday holiday and long weekend to make a change in the 1969 vacuum hoses.
