C1 Fresh Air Hose

The JG says the wire spacing is 5/8 to 3/4 pitch on the fresh air hose. What size is the wire and is it on the outside or the inside? Also what is the material that the hose is made of? Thanks, Jimmy

Can't get the image to load, but docrebuild item number is 8852119. I'd guess the wire is about 16 ga. and is inside the layers of hose material.

Thanks to both of you. I found about 15 ft of the wider coil 5/8 to 3/4 in an old shop. It appears to be exactly like the picture on ebay. Fabric seems to be a little smoother and stronger than my repo. Thanks again for you respose.

The wider wire width hose shown on Ebay is not vintage correct.

The top version is much closer to the original.

And only $28 from Corvette Central, Paragon, etc. The ebay winner paid $112 for the wide repro.
