    C3 Air Deflector "J" Bolts

My old deflector is just bolted in....What or HOW are these "J" Bolts used, and where can I find ones that pass judging? Thanks again!

He has a 76, Dickey. After thinking about his previous post, I believe he may be talking about the "extension" below the front fascia, aka "chin spoiler", "air dam". I'm not familiar with 76s, so I don't know about any "J-bolts".

Christopher, in response to your previous post, if you ARE talking about the extension below the nose, I'm confident you won't find any NOS extensions...I looked at least ten years ago, and came up empty. There are several repro versions out there; some better, some worse. None of the repros, TO MY KNOWLEDGE, will get by without minor deducts.

Maybe someone here can recommend the best repro extension; I'm unfamiliar with the details that get the deducts.

Ecklers' front spoiler attaching hardware kit for 73-79 has 10 machine screws with captive washers, and ten nuts. No "J-bolts". Go to Ecklers' and search for Item #41977 to see their catalog picture.

Earlier C3s (70-72) had front spoilers that were configured differently. There are two heavy duty "L" shaped brackets called cross member extensions that extend to the front lower fiberglass to anchor the two front bumper guards. In the center, the 70-72 front spoiler is secured between these two "cross-member extensions" and the fiberglass. Is it possible you've seen an illustration of the earlier spoiler, and the "cross-member extensions" look like "J-bolts"?
