    C1 1959 Sun Visors

    I have lost points for C1 1959 sun visor heat seams being too wide. Did they have heat seams at all? Who sells the correct ones? Thanks, Jimmy

      Jimmy - Yes, they had heat seams, however...

      ...the reproduction visors that I have seen all have this heat seam that sticks out way too far. Of course, we are only talking fractions of an inch, but it is quite noticeable when comparing originals to reproductions. I am not sure that anybody is currently making them to the original configuration. Also, it is possible the repros could be carefully modified to duplicate originals, but I have not tried to do this so cannot speak to that issue. I assume the deduction in judging is not very large when comparing the two, but, I'm not going to try to make that call at this point. See, I have learned a few things over the years...
