C1 - Ignition Shielding

I wrote a couple days ago, a message that was apparantly not understood and so went un-answered about my '59 top ignition shield. I decided that I would try to send a photo (my first one, so I hope I'm sucessful !)

So...my basic question is.....Is this shield correct for a '59?

I suppose I need some help on my picture posting skills. The site I unloaded from says my photo is 1600x1200 pixels. Is this too big? If so...how do I re-size it smaller?

use a photoedit program, most digital camera packages come with one. Usual size is 640x480 for posting.

Brad, After reading your earlier post I suggest you might try going to some of the Corvette part vendor web sites, reviewing the photographs of the ignition shields and comparing them to what you have. Zipcorvette.com has photos of most of their parts within their kits. It won't be completely definitive; there are differences within some years that are not shown, but you may be able to better refine your question.

Noland's two books go into great detail (with illustrations/drawings) on C1 and C2 ignition shielding components.

I have a drawing of shielding from a 60 that I believe was a 270 hp.
How do you post a paint drawing? Do you need a host like a picture?

I Emailed Brad a drawing of mine and it is the same as his. Roy posted it last Thursday. It is not shown in any of the pictures in Noland's Vol 1 edition.
So we still aren't sure what we have.
