1963 master cylinder thumb screw

I am looking at a 1963 master cylinder that sold on ebay and there is a flat washer on the thumbscrew at the top. I am wondering if this is correct because my car does not have this washer, can someone confirm this for me?

MC cover assy was assembled this way (from bottom to top):

(1) Gasket

(2) Lid

(3) Reinforcing flat washer

(4) Retaining plate covering washer

(5) Thumbscrew or low profile hex-head bolt
