    1965 Big Block Help

I have an opportunity to purchase a 1965 corvette that the owner says was an original big block, but now a small block. I need help in identifing those things that probably would not have been changed when the motor was switched [ie; rear, tach, oil pressure gage, etc.]. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Do a search in the archives, this same question has been discussed in considerable detail many times before.

Easier than if '66 BB vs. SB

Ernie -- if the motor is all that is now missing, there are a lot of remaining differences between a 396 and 327 non-air car, not in small part due to the LH battery location. Examine closely all 14 pages of the Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM) for starters (if you have one). First check is that VIN # has to be higher than 12864. If you have any remaining questions, email me.
