    A/C Strategies for 63-82 Book

In a previous post, John Hinkley recommended a book (thank you John) called Air Conditioning Strategies for 63-82. It was originally offered by the NCRS store but they are out of stock and don't expect any until the 2nd edition is published sometime after the first of the year.

Is there anyone out there who is finished with their copy and willing to sell it? OR... Would someone respond with the ISBN # to begin the search.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!!!!

Re: A/C Strategies for 63-82 Book

This book is mostly targeted at improving the effectiveness of C2 and C3 air conditiong systems, through a systematic evaluation of various sources of loss such as hot engine compartment air leaking into the passenger compartment. The main utility of the book is to help an owner of a C2 or C3 factory air car improve the cooling effectiveness of a factory installed system that does not seem to be performing as well as it should.

Unless this specific task is what you are trying to accomplish, the book is not particlarly useful.

          Norm,
Chevy produced a book under the Training and Diagnostic Manuals offered by Helm, Inc. The one on "Heating and Air Conditioning" (# ST-346-71) is some 112 pages long and covers AC for the most part.
Better off trying to find this publication at the shows since it covers AC up till 71.
Not sure where else to get, however I would try Helm, Inc in Detroit Michigan if they still exist. Just another idea.

            Norm,
Also check out your AIM book, section C48, has a lot of good stuff in it.
Oh that's for 64, do not know where it is for other years

Also check out the "ACForum.com". It's invaluable if you have AC. AL W.
