The only size which is available in this tire model that I would recommend is the 225-70-15. With respect to many sizing parameters, this size is also closest to the original F-70-15 used for all 1968-72 Corvettes. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 70 bb cpe tire size
You might find the 225-70-15 rubber just a bit wide... Before restoration on my '71 SB, it was wearing radials of that size and I found them reasonably hard to tug around during parallel parking maneuvers + they'd 'just' rub when the steering went to its lock limits.
After restoration, I mounted 215-70-15 tires and I've got NO complaints. BUT, remember the size designation is simply a generic category and NOT a precise dictation of actual dimensions. That means one mfgr's model/offering can vary slightly from another within the same generic category (e.g. 225-70-15)....- Top

I agree that the 215-70-15 is a better choice for a replacement tire size for 1968-72 Corvettes. However, that size is not available in the Goodyear GT-II model tire. As a matter of fact, it's getting to be more-and-more difficult to find the 215-70-15 in any tire model that one would care to use on a Corvette. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
