I'm putting together this 67 convertible that's been apart since 1981--v ery complete, very original. However, one of the few lost parts is the mount (support) for the steering column to the underdash area. (AIM section 9, sheet A4, part number 3897415.) As best as I can tell, looking in the N36 section (this is a telescopic column car) that bracket is the same for all 67's. Is that correct? Looking in the parts house catalogs, they have listings for 63-66, but not 67. Did I miss something? Are they available only as a used part? Thanks for any help you're able to give!

Re: 67 steering column mounting
Mike----
The GM #3897415 steering column support assembly was applicable exclusively to all 1967 Corvettes, standard or tele columns. It had no other Corvette or other Chevrolet applications. Unfortunately, it was discontinued without supercession in January, 1976. As far as I know, it is not reproduced. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
