    Exhaust Manifold For 1965 327/365

What does the left side exhaust manifold look like for a non-A/C car. Mine is a reproduction 3846563, and presently has provisions for a LH mount alternator. Should this forward end be plain, or should it have a boss with two threaded holes facing forward? What do the "seven rectangular projections" on the top look like? Pictures are worth thousands of words, but words will be appreciated, too.

Can I eventually install an A/C system (IF I decide to do so, some day), like "Old Air" or "Vintage Air" using correct left side manifold.........assuming that the forward end is plain cast with no bosses?

    Thanks in advance.

      Joe,

Yes the LH "563" casting should have the forward facing boss as you describe. The "seven rectangulat projections" reside along the top ridge along the center of the casting. they are about 1/8" wide X 1/2" long and stick up off the surface about 1/16".

You can see what they look like by clicking some of the pictures on the auction below. I believe the reproduction part look different here and later service replacements have these ground off.

Thanks Ken, and are you absolutely SURE that it's original. Yes, C-60 for 327/365 very rare! The reason for my question to you can be found in the thread, above "Joe L.- Exhaust Manifold Part Numbers Please". The "942" manifold would have been the better choice in many cases, but was not used.
