69 - center carb choke settings

Hey guys...
Anyone have a good reference on how to set the choke on one of these two barrels.... I have the linkage and sping, but would like some advice on setting the butterfly opening and the idel cam...

I Chevrolet service manual has very good instructions. For a starter, on a cold engine, I would set the choke butterfly closed with very little tension. Final adjustment will be a trial and error process. The fast idle cam will have to be adjusted by trial and error also.

The 6M section of the Chassis Service Manual shows the adjustment of the remote choke rod, and the 6M section of the Chassis Overhaul Manual details the adjustment of the fast idle and choke pull-off systems. Nobody with a 40-year-old Corvette should be without both books; no place you take it to have work done will have either one.
