Need some help here. I am starting a frame off on my 66, have read the JM and don't understand the point system for judging. I am doing a full restore but would like to have a better paint job than origional. Also would like to use SS brake and fuel lines along with SS exhaust. Is it possible to achive Top Flight with what I am thinking?? If this is a stupid question concider the ignorant source. (new member) Thanks in advance

In addition to the Judging Guide for your year car, you should also have the "Corvette Judging Reference Manual" (available from the on-line store here, explains the judging/scoring system and "standard deductions"), and a set of judging sheets that show point allocations per part/system. If you e-mail Roy Sinor (National Judging Chairman), he can send you a set of judging sheets in .pdf format.
You can have up to 270 points deducted and still make Top Flight.- Top

Re: Top Flight or not
Ask your self right now, am I building this for my use or for NCRS judging.
I chose to go for "my use" with consideration to anyone I may sell it to that would want to use it for judging. It's not difficult at all. Keep all parts that you replace. Don't change anything that can't be corrected with tools. If I ever do need to sell my 60, I have kept everything that might be needed if somebody wants to have it judged. I have the original rear leaf springs, master cylinder, 2 four mainifold, 6500 redline tach face plate and all nuts and bolts. I even kept the original wiring harness. I have a AM/FM radio in it, but, I have the original wonderbar radio. When I DRIVE ir I enjoy it.
