    Jerry Suvada's Passing

Longtime member of the NCRS, Restorer and Collector Jerry Suvada has passed from this earth. Jerry was in his shop when he passed. We'll always remember Jerry from Bloomington, Carlisle, Knoxville and Florida. His handle on E-Babe was Loosenut2. I'm sure several hundred of you have purchased parts and services from Jerry.

He will be missed by all who knew him. He was a gentle giant in the world of Corvette fanatics.

    Rest In Peace My Friend

Jerry will be surely missed and especially by me. He was old Florida, and told me countless stories growing up on the Miami River. He know Chevies inside out and rarely relied on books at meets. He was the first person I'd seek out at Carlisle or the NCRS-FLA meet in January.

        Re: Jerry Suvada's Passing

I talked with him at Carlisle for a while. He mentioned that it was going slower for him than in the past--what a shock that he's gone. A good guy I've known for nearly 30 years.

Jerry was always a gentlemen. He brought me FI parts at various shows and we would sit and chat a long time. Saw him last at the Corvette Expo in Knoxville. Recently he sent me some misc parts to identify. Was a wealth of knowledge and an attribute to our favorite hobby. Old Loose Nut we will miss you. Great ebay pal also. Always an honest fellow and never had an unkind word to say. A week or so ago Jorjorian and I discussed Jerry via email. It's another sad day for our hobby. Too many of us are approaching our twilight years. Rest in peace old friend. John D.

I had the pleasure of knowing Jerry the past 25 years. He was one of the nicest people you would ever want to know. We spent some time together at Corvette Carlisle a couple of weeks ago. I will truly miss him.

when the ncrs team leaders began collecting original trim tags for the ncrs "library", in the early to mid-90's, i approached jerry to buy some of his original midyear trims tags. told him what we intended to do with them. got about 6 that day and more as the years passed.he never charged the club for the tags.saw him at carlisle couple weeks ago-same old Jerry.Honest to the core. RIP. mike
