    Camshaft identification

    Hello, I am trying to help a friend identify a camshaft installed in a rebuilt
    1966 427/425hp engine he recently purchased. Two numbers appear on the invoice.
    The first number is 3959180 and the second is 11454R. Thank you in advance for

      560/600 lift cam released for ZL-1, NOT a street cam in any way. Also referred to as second design L-88 cam.

          GM #3959180 is the part number for the 1969 Corvette ZL-1 camshaft. I don't know what the "11454R" refers to. It might be a Federal-Mogul part number.

              Thank you Bill and Joe. I am going to recommend a camshaft change before
              installation. This engine is going into a power brake car and I know it
              will not produce enough vacuum. Thank you again, John

                  better check the valve spring also

                  because they could not be compatible with the next cam you plan to use
