Question on this molded upper rad hose for a 68 L-79 (Manual trans, no A/C, power brakes) -
Is there a slight built in "trap" (like a sink trap) at the point where it attaches to the upper radiator connection to prevent an air pocket from forming in this hose and compromising the coolant flow in the system? My guess if that if there is, it would on the same level in the engine compartment as the lettering in the middle of the aluminum fill tank to maintain proper fill level.
Would assume that all the reputable suppliers of molded, correctly configured GM marked hoses would be from the same supplier, just wanted to double check this, as it seems I keep getting some kind of "air lock" in this hose on my car, and need to manually massage it to fill it (the hose that is) to make sure the flow is good through this hose.
Thanks in advance for any feedback on this, and if anyone has a pic of a correct hose on their 68 L-79, I'd appreciate it.
Regards,
Rich
