    Chester, I looked long and hard at the price and technical aspects of the do-it-yourself kits for rebuilding vs. the cost of swapping for rebuilt parts, and found that in the long run, it was better to buy them already done. There aren't any date codes on these parts (cylinder and valve) that get judged anyway, and you get new hoses to boot. Especially handy when deteriorating hoses is a prime reason for cylinder and valve failure. If you're worried about original bolt heads on the parts, what I did is swapped in my original bolts in a couple of places before returning my cores to them. I found the Vette Brakes and Products kit to be excellent! I wrote and article on this in Vette magazine in the August 1995 issue, page 24. If you need a copy, e-mail me your address.
