      clem and Mark-----

Unfortunately, the GM #6260482 heads are now GM-discontinued. If you needed heads and didn't care about minor nuances, these would have been a very good choice. There still might be some around.

The GM #12368085 rocker arm kit contains 16 "sub-units", each of which contain 1 GM #3959182 rocker arm + ball and nut. The GM #3959182 rocker arm is not exactly the same as the original used for 1965 L-78 (originals had a slightly shorter slot, a SLIGHTLY different configuration, and an "L" marking on the tip; the 3959182 has an "H" embossed near the tip). However, the GM #12368085 kit is definitely what I'd recommend that you use. The original rockers are no longer available and are inferior to the "H"-marked.

The "direct descendant" of the GM #3860308 rocker arms (the ones originally used for 1965 L-78) is the GM #10112680. It is also stamped "L", but the stamping is a different configuration and different location than the 3860308, so it shouldn't "fool anyone" (as if anyone is going to see them, anyway). Plus, the 10112680 is a LOT more expensive than the rocker arms recommended and is NOT available as a kit, so that makes a set even more expensive.
