Im having trouble with the "accelerator arm at the firewall" as it doesent seem to be the corect length. Im V8 with the early style carb and I understand that the arm in question is one length for the early carb and a different length for the latter carb. Does anyone have a proper length for my arm?

Bob,I checked my '62 and earlier parts book and they mentioned pt.#3722021 for '55to'62 as being11" O.L.. That is the only one mentioned for that model.Dave#399 -

Dave,In chev. book it showes part no. 3716050 with a length of 8 13/16 th does any one have a 55 with the early carb so that they could measure there's? thanksComment

Bob, I again referred to my ,actually Oct. 61 parts book, and no throttle rods are listed for that length regardless of year, motor,trans or body style. I think you are on the right track asking for a measurement for my parts book being dated '61 may be too late to be accurate.Comment
