C3 1972 350 INTAKE BOLTS

For some reason when I had my car judged several years ago. I was told that the intake bolts on my base 350 were incorrect. I attempted to inform the judge that the head markings (MG) actually were a rare marking from the factory that were made by a Dyslexia tooler. However he kept insisiting the marking stood for Mr. Gasket.Could someone verify the correct bolt markings
for me.

Hmmmm! Been judging early C-3's since they were accepted for judging (1985) and do not remember ever seeing an original or properly restored car with these markings.

I believe that one common headmarking was "M" in a circle. Others may have included "C" and "A". They may have been others, too. However, I don't think that "MG" was one of them

On my car, there are 3 different bolt heads.

Most of them are one type, but the ones that hold each of the spark plug wire holders in the rear have a different head, and the left front ones that hold the engine lift also have a different mark as well as an integral shoulder.

Usually, any intake bolt under which something else is mounted will be a different length. A different length often means a different manufacturer and, consequently, a different headmarking.

Not only that, but they may have been installed at a different point in the engine assembly line.
