62 'Z Bar' pivot ball stud

My clutch cross shaft (Z Bar) 'ball stud' that mounts to the frame, on my 62, is badly worn. I drilled out the weld on the back side and removed it. My question is this. Does anyone manufacture a pivot ball stud that will bolt on instead of weld on? I ordered a threaded one from GM, but, the ball portion is too large. It measures about 7/8" in diameter and I believe that I need one about 5/8". I know that CC and Paragon sell one that welds on. Is this my only choice?. Thanks, Steve.

    Hi Steve

You should check with a machine shop to see if they can turn the 7/8 ball stud down to what you need. Just a thought.

    Good luck...John
