    C2 washer spring

Mine broke when I removed the bellows. Anyone know of a replacement source.

    Thanks,

    Walt,

If you get no direct contact information from anybody else here, try contacting one of the businesses that rebuild/restore wsw motors, like Corvette Specialties of Maryland, or the like. They might be able to sell you one, although they would naturally prefer to restore yours for lotsa' money.

You'll find 'reproductions' of both the washer bellows and, if memory serves, the return spring available from some of the catalog houses (try Long Island). But, I'm reasonably convinced the bellows are of an inferior grade of rubber and the built-in twist lock isn't as good as factory originals.

When I've worked on washer systems that needed either replacement piston bellows or spring components, I simply went to my local scrap yard and gathered used original parts in good working order off cars to get fixed up!

Like the scrap yard method. Paragon & LI do not supply the spring.
Caution - the outside cover (white) on most C2's are one piece and these two repro have two sections, so incorrect! I just replaced the inners so nobody can tell.

What 'covers' are you talking about? If you mean the pump's nipple inlet + umbrella valve assy's, then clarification is needed. In '63 and '64, this was a 1-piece assy supplied by Rochester and those are VERY hard to find that haven't aged (turned yellow) and/or dried out and cracked.

In '65 and later, the assy changed to a discrete nipple (inlet & outlet) assy, a triple O-ring, and a discrete umbrella valve assy from Trico that were supplied in an off-white Delron. Service replacements are typically snow white or jet black, made from nylon.

So, with C2 cars being built for 5 years, 2/5ths of them had the single Rochester nipple/valve assy, and 3/5ths of them had multi layer Trico units. But, the pump piston cavity was pot metal with a rubber diagphram that physically moved the washer fluid...
