confusion with "date" on C1 exhaust manifold

This goes to all those smarter than me. While looking for the date on my exhaust manifolds, I came across no date for the right hand 3750556, but when I looked at the left hand- #3749965A, I saw a date that stumped me. Looks like an actual date of 11-16-79. (No letter for month). I tried to get it as clear a pic as possible, but through a double mirror image...! Hope you can read-is this a vette manifold or is it a possible passenger car-- were they dated this way? And does the "A" and "SCC" after the # mean anything? Thanks for any help.

You're looking at a replacement manifold--as per the JM, originals only had a day/month cast in, and that was on the backside against the head. Replacements, which you have pictured, are quite different, as you have indicated. These have been available from GM for quite some time in replacement form. Casting number size is different, etc., etc.
