Robert Veryzer Corvette Design Lecture 9/9/2006
In conjunction with the John Fitch exhibit and the 1957 SS Corvette, the Corvette designer Mr. Robert Veryzer presented a slide show and lecture at the Saratoga Auto Museum. The topics included his backround in studying Industrial Design at Pratt Institute to his hiring by GM in 1949 right out of school. The history of the styling studio at GM, the design methods, the participants from Earl, Mitchell, Duntov, Fitch, Thompson, Shinoda and more. The racers, the Q Corvette, the 1957 SS, the 1959 Stingray, all culminating in the 1963-1967 models.
