    66 Alternator Pulley/Fan Color

Page 88 of the 66 judging manual states that the pulley & fan are two pieces and that the fan is painted semi-gloss black, dark grey or black oxide plated. Pulleys are cadmium or zinc plated. However on page 89 under applications, it states that base engine pulley & fan are one piece. So the question is, "What color should this one piece pulley/fan be painted." I can't believe someone would have masked off the pulley.Unfortunately my neighbor next door doesn't have a 66 parked in his drive that I can look at. Any help would be appreciated.

    Frank-----

For 1966 base engine Corvettes without A/C, the alternator fan and pulley were a one piece unit. The pulley was of 2-13/16" OD and there was one groove with a 3/8" width. I am not sure of what the surface finish was or even if only one surface finish was used.
