1980 alternator, correct finish for fan + pulley?

I'm presently in the process of freshening up a used alternator I bought for my 80. I'd like to stick to the right finish on the pulley, fan, nut etc. The fan currently looks to have a slightly silvery - possibly nickel? - or galvanised finish on it, the pulley is painted with a thin coat of silver paint. The main pulley nut is a dull grey colour, hard to tell what it originally looked like. Can anyone tell me what the factory look would have been? Not much about this in the Tech Info Manual/Judging Guide..
Also, what was the usual plating for the mounting and ground bolts?

    Thanks in advance!
