First of all I'd like to say hi, I'm new to this forum. I just purchased my first Vette, a '63 convertible and I have a question about how the turn signal canceling works.
I have an assembly manual and it shows all the parts that I have, but it doesn't show the part I need to see. I have a pot metal piece that my turn signal lever screws into and it pivots on a threaded shaft, like the one on my '55 210. But there is also a piece that has a couple of "L" brackets that are spring loaded and that one is not shown either.
When I first got the car and the signals didn't cancel, I took the wheel off to investigate and I saw that there was a piece missing. I bought the plastic piece that connects to the bottom of my steering wheel (with 2 screws), but it still doesn't cancel. Here is a picture of what the assembly manual looks like and I can't seem to find the 2 pieces I described in this picture anywhere. Am I missing something?
Thanks for the help,
John
