I can't comment on clip B but clip A retains the cable and the harness is hung from it with tee straps. The crossover cable is retained by three of the same clips, one in the middle and one on each side. I have never seen an original car with the harness in clip A.

    Hi Ken:

In the photo I posted, clip B is one of the three clips that retain the hood latch crossover cable. All three clips are present on my car and all three contain only the crossover cable.

Clip A is a fourth clip that is of a different design than the three that hold the crossover cable. It is larger and it faces downward. I do not think it was ever intended to hold the crossover cable.

If you look at the photo posted by Daniel Civitello of his unrestored 66, you will see the same configuration that I have on my car.

Joe, I had brain fade. I just went out and looked at 2 fairly unmolested conv in my shop, the cable is routed through both A and B on both of them- I do not thing that is correct either. Sorry for the wrong info.
