62/63 rear license plate lamp assembly.

I think I have partially figured out what is going on with my 62.

Thanks to Bill who sent be a pic of his original 62 it looks to me like I have the correct assembly in my car but I have a 63 lamp pigtail which includes a connector.

The lamp socket was part of the 62 rear body harness, but on the 63 it was part of the lamp assembly with a connector to the rear body harness.

To finalize it can a 63 owner tell me if the assembly on there car has LI 60 stamped into the top side of it? If not my assembly is correct for my car. If it does have LI 60 on it they are hopefully the same and I will nedd to investigate more to see if I can use it. I dunno, maybe something got changed like the bulb socket diameter for 63.

Oh yea, I am looking for a 62 License plate socket/spring. Lectric Limited says they may have one tooled up within the year.

Well, now with a little input it looks like they used the same housing as the 62 for the 63 but the lamp socket is part of the assembly on the 63. In order to use my assembly I will have to destroy the lamp socket.

62 license plate assemblies are available w/o the lamp socket. Calling around trying to find someone with an old rear body harness I can get the lamp socket from.
May just take out the whole assembly, clean it up, and sell it and get a correct part so I do not have to destroy the original 63 part.
