Ebay # 160031393464 is an NOS set of door weatherstripping for pre-1959 Corvettes. The price is already over $300.00. I'm really trying to restore my 58' big brake fuelie to really high standards so in your opinions is this a worthy buy? What are the main differences between these pieces and the reproductions? Thanks.

There is no picture of any NOS weatherstip shown. How can you tells it's authentic? From the Black and Blue bags in the 1970's? What a stroke of faith that engenders.

Have you ever seen the 1970's GM replacements?

Thie difference is the Diamond S logo which was on original weatherstripping, but not on repos, until recently. There is a company which sells the Diamond S logo. It looks very good. Here is the website:

I think a complete set for your car is $260.00. Cheaper than the one on Ebay. Quite honestly the one on ebay may be a repo from this place, or if it is actually 47 years old, my guess the rubber will not last long anyway.
