    C2:67 Conv Top, Frame Alignment

Think I have the frame just about aligned. Temporarily attached the straps to Bow #3 and cinched every thing down to check dimensions:

I'm measuring 33-3/8" from the front header edge to the center of Bow #3 along the inboard seam of the pad. Saw in one article that it is supposed to be 33-1/2". Can anyone confirm this?

Thought I'd leave it cinched up overnight to get the stretch out of the pads.
I have a little over 7/16" between the top and rear of the window to the frame on both sides.

    Tomorrow the top goes on.

I dont worry too much about that measurement. Just leave it loose and install the top on the rear bow. then pull it up and temporarily attach to the front bow. Then while pulling back on the # 4 bow to the point it meats the seam at the top of the window, simply grab the strap and pull it up to fit and tack. This give good results every time.

It would be nice if we could edit. Sorry I said front bow. I meant rear bow. And you asked about the side pad measurement. I am not sure what the actual measurement is there. I use Knoch tops and they are very consistant and I never really have any problems there. I just install them in their place.

The tack strips are the fiberboard one's from CC I got sometime ago. The pads are direct from Al Knock, and the straps from CC are marked juct like the ones on the Al Knoch video.
