I have a lot of reference books AIM etc for 1969 but I can not find a photo of 1969 427 timing cover(L71) that helps me clearly identify it. I am not sure if the tab is unique for that year or not. I know about the dowel pin holes, 8" balancer,AOR and degree spacing, but nothing about the Y mount that it is suppose to have been where it is spot welded to the cover. If anyone has a picture or could point me to the right application info or references it would surely be appreciated.
Dave,
Not sure if this is what you're looking for and it may be difficult to see how it's mounted. This is from my one (previous) owner '69 L71. If you need more info, let me know.

Kent, first thanks so much for the pic and effort. I am actually looking for the detail on how the tab mounting tab looks where it is spot welded to the timing cover. Again thanks for the pic
Their timing tab repro is good. It was held on by 4 spot welds in a square configuration, like the number 4 on dice. There is a faint square impression on all vintage timing covers where it should be spot welded in place. The 7" tab is also welded in the same location.
