1968 Wiper Override Dash Light

Help- 1968 center dash Wiper Override switch lights when the headlight or parking lights are activated. The wipers are in the closed position. When the lights are turned off, the switch light goes off. Obviously it is not a dash light because it is a different bulb fixture. Don't ya just love those 1st year designs, .......... any ideas?

On my May 10, 1968 built coupe, that wiper override light goes on ONLY when you first activate the wiper switch and stays on while the vacuum operated wiper door is opening and then goes off as soon as the wiper door is out of the way and parked in the open position. Then the wipers activate, and the light is extinguished.
