I believe that the uppers use nuts and the lower use bolts. However, I've never found torque values for these nuts and bolts in GM Service Manuals. I think that this is another case of incomplete information being provided in GM manuals. Compared to manuals for, for example, Honda cars, the GM manuals are not even in the same league.
