If you need more immediate attention, or really want to determine his communication skills, use the invention called the telephone. I think you'll discover his skills are fine, and perhaps without unnecessary ridicule.

I wouldn't call it unnecessary ridicule but a statement of fact. If he doesn't answer emails what makes me think he will answer the phone. Once again, I don't question his workmanship but wonder about his business skills.
