    67-06 trade

I'm looking to get a 2006 Convertible Automatic, Tan interior , Sunset Orange fully loaded Corvette used. It can have 20 or 30,000 miles is OK. Many people know about my 67 coup 327-350 original Corvette. Question! you think some one would trade or wont it and some money. I've had it for 25 years and just wont a newer Corvette along with my 55 Corvette.

    Re: 67-06 trade

    Roy,

    I'll trade you a 67 Renault 10 for your 67 Corvette. That's how I got mine on 68

Seriously, I think your specs are a little too particular on the 2006, as well as finding a willing seller. Maybe find a dealer who is interested in collector cars, and trade it in on a new one.

      Re: 67-06 trade

      Roy,
I think that your best bet would be to sell your 67 first then buy the 06 that you want.
      Regards,
      Steve

i'm a whosale dealer in so cal and attend the gmac dealer sale every other week in fontana---kelly blue book wholesale value on a 06 conv is $47300 on a car equiped with the normal equipment plus multi cd stacker and bose stereo---a car with that wholesale value will pull about $2000 back of book or about $45000 depending on condition and miles---break even on miles for a 2006 car is 12000 miles, the point that does not affect blue book value---i would ebay your 67 and who knows you might get enough out of the 67 to buy the 06---an 06 with 20k on the odo will have a $3600 deduct for miles which would put the book value at $43700---if it had 30k it would take a $7150 deduct and value would be $40150---remember in 3 years that car will have a value of about $30000 and your 67 will have gone up about $5000---i cannot remember if luxury tax kicks in at 40k or 45k plus the almost 8% sales tax and subsequent high registration fees---the 3 year value loss plus reg. on the 06 would do a nice resto on the 67 and figure how many 06 bodies are on the road versus a 67---i would keep the 67 jmo anyhow good luck
