I seem to recall that the 68 corvette drivers side mirror gasket was a rubber gasket and that later years used a plastic gasket. Anyone have there original mirrors still on their cars?? Thanks, Terry
Terry,
When I restored my 68, the mirror gasket I removed was rubber and the replacement gasket that I purchased is a hard plastic. I don't recall having a choice of rubber vs. plastic when I purchased the new mirror and gasket.
Kurt
You are correct and I believe that is what should be on there. I think some venders do sell the rubber one. I bet Dr Rebuild has it. I have one that I got somewhere. Thanks for the responce. Terry
