What is it with these protectors!!! They do not seem to fit right. It looks like they should extend down over the bottom/back of the taillight housing. They do not. I had my project all done, turned the tailights on and the fuse blew. When I put one of the cones on it pulled one of the plugs and shorted it out. Easy fix, but crap!!
Am I doing something wrong? Are they repro'd correctly?
I just put mine on and all is fine.Mine are repo and look the same as original, cause I do have one original. Is your ground wire connected to the bottom stud? The cone just slides on the top stud at locks in place.Make sure you have no bare wire touching the housing.
