    1965 Armrest

I would like to replace the seat belt buckle bracket on my 1965 coupe. The center armrest cushion obstructs the access to the seat belt buckle mounting screws. How do I remove the armrest cushion? Thank you in advance for your help.

    Re: 1965 Armrest

You have to remove the center console to get to the bolt holding down the armrest but as long as you have the console out, change the bracket! The console does not have to come all the way out. Remove the radio side panels and the console screws, now lift up the rear of the console a couple of inches and you can gain access to the screws to change the bracket.
