The NDB Script is now updated. It has some new features that you will find as you go, and it is less of a resource hog. This should eliminate our server resources problem at least for a while.
Do you like the topic partitions? I still haven't gotten used to them.
Views are back for now. I want to test the upgrade and see if we have further resource problems. If we do, the views are one of the first resource hogs that will have to go.
I think that the changes are great. I like the "divider lines" and I'm REAL happy to see the message counters back. I really missed them. I hope that they can stay.
John, I like the dividers & smileys. I too missed the message counters. I have noticed that the message counts don't show up on the main list, only down inside the thread within a particular messages. I have my preferences set to only show new messages, and I don't see them until I scroll down inside a given message. BTW, I noticed you have a FAQ online. Thanks! ~Juliet

oooh, nevermind.... that's wierd. When the screen refreshed from my reply post, the message counts showed up on the top half of the screen! Talk about a quick fix John. I must have caught you in mid-update or something. ~Juliet

John-I too like the dividers and the counters seem to give a read on interest or lack of it on certain topics. The only thing i don't like are those smiley faces. They remind of Al Gore's smiling face! Lou
I must be on the wrong flight but.................
don't see how the 'smile' faces are added. HELP
ps; could we set check box for email responses to 'off' by default? I keep forgetting about it and then I get emails when someone posts an answer. I'm here 20 times a day as it is.
...you simply type the emoticon. For example a simple smile is a colon : followed by a close parenthesis ). Put them together and you get the regular smiley The directions for what you need to type into your message for all the smileys are in the FAQ. If you look at the links at the top of the board you'll see that John put a FAQ online. That shows all the possible smileys etc. Pretty cool actually. I'd type it here, but the smileys will be converted when I post it, so you need to look at the FAQ. (Frequently Asked Questions). ~Juliet
