    C2 Bumper Bracket Paint

Assume that the bumper brackets (front & rear) are black dip primed. Need verification of such before painting.

Dip prime is no where near the semi black of frame therefore a judge can instantly tell its wrong.
    Thanks

I used SAE Trim Black, primer was SAE Grey... No problem passing judging...

      C2 Bumper Bracket Paint

      Alan,

For my '66 I dip painted my bumper brackets using two sheetrock mud troughs glued end to end to make a 3+ foot long trough. I then used several quarts of Rustoleum semi-gloss black paint thinned to get a consitency that would cover evenly and run off the parts, leaving some intentional tell-tale drips. The brackets came out exactly as I intended. Since my car is still undergoing a body-off, the judges haven't seen the brackets yet, so I don't know how they will judge, but I'm optimistic.
