    1972 454 carb isolator

I am doing some carb work on my '72 454 4 spd. coupe. I have a stock cast iron
intake manifold and am mounting a new 650 spreadbore Holley with mechanical secondaries and divorced choke. My question concerns the base gasket/isolator
that I need. Is the isolator .25 thick? Does it have 4 separate holes for
the primaries and secondaries or is it all open inside? Or do I require a
different gasket setup altogether? I previously had a .25 inch isolator (with
hard plastic grommets at the corners) and a model 4165 Holley setup. The
isolator came with a Holley renew kit and was all open inside. It worked OK
but I'm just making sure I'm doing the right thing. Thanks for your response!

    John------

The original insulator gasket for 1972 was a "full open" plenum design gasket. It did not have 4 holes.
