THIS NUMBERS PAD STAMP BOTHERS ME ??? YOU ???

This one was posted on my thread on the forum, it's for a 1955 .......the motor numbers look good, but here is what bothers me, the vin portion, is not even, on the same plumb line, nor are they equally spaced, on these years were they stamped one number at a time or were they supposed to be all done as one stamp in a holder together & i dont like the pad either it has lots of grooves, & marks in all different directions ? imput ? thoughts ? anyone ?
this one would bother me much more then mine which looks like it bounced or .......could it be possible the first strike was not hard enough & was just restruck a second time done with a harder whack ?
    curios ?

Re: NG really looks like a small Red X to me

              Just paste the link:

into the third box down from the message box called Optional Image URL.

NM = No Message, which means the person posting did not input any text in the message input box. A lot of people use it to post a quick reply. They will for example put "Thanks" in the subject box and nothing in the message box and the NM automatically gets added to the subject box when the post is submitted.

Crooked double stamp aside, nothing here looks like a 55 to me. Wrong sequence of characters, wrong heads, wrong color, etc., etc.

but this HT block assy date is way too early for that.

I think they are saying the red X will not bring up the pic but using the link in your third post I seen it and have not seen a 12345 stamp like that before is that your Vin?

OK you guys I posted it on the Corvette forum because another guy thought his pad was a mess , so don't go crazy about mine , I've had every thing ever mentioned you can think of over it plus little GREEN men invaded the factory line that made up my Corvette.
