C1 female hood latchs & wiper motor color

Im repainting my firewall on my 60. Do the female hood latches and wiper motor get black out paint or our they there natural plated colors. I've checked many different C1's some are painted and some are not. Which is correct?? Any help would be appricated...Thanks Scott

Both the male and female latches were blacked out on your car. The latches were in place, but the cables and stops were not, so they should be without blackout.
Since they were in place before blackout, the judges will look inside the female latches and see if bare fiberglass shows inside the latch.

The female hood latches got blackout overspray, and only the wiper motor mounting bracket on the firewall was in place during blackout - the motor itself was installed after paint.
